Being a Licensed Psychologist and having the honor to help people has brought so much joy to my heart. I began my mental health career in 2012 while working in residential homes with adults who struggled with severe and persistent mental illness. This was challenging but rewarding work. I then took the plunge to attend graduate school in 2013, and in 2019 graduated with my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I approach therapy through a humanistic and systems lens which allows me to consider how all facets are connected to current challenges. I utilize various different modalities of therapy such as: client-centered, cognitive behavioral, play, sandtray, family systems, theraplay (attachment focused), and trauma focused.

I provide individual and family therapy where we can focus on skill building, emotion regulation, parenting tools, relationship dynamics, and having a safe space, just to name a few. Every person needs something different within the context of therapy that allows them to foster growth, and I work with them to figure that out. I work mostly with children, but also work with adults. We can tackle issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, obsessions and compulsions, behavior management, and general processing of events. This list is not exhaustive, so if you think therapy might be for you then set up an appointment for us to discuss! Therapy is a journey that takes courage to embark on, and I truly feel blessed to be the one to provide a safe space.

With regards to testing, I provide psychological and neuropsychological assessments that can assess potential ADHD, autism spectrum, social pragmatic communication disorder, learning disabilities, and diagnostic clarification. It will also be important to collect collateral information when completing testing, so teachers and caregivers are typically involved in the assessment process.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my German Shepard mix doggie, Bear, and my family. I also enjoy spending as much time outdoors and in nature as possible, but appreciate a night inside on the couch as well. My hobbies include reading, watching television, hiking, walks, or socializing with my friends.

Services provided at this location: Individual Therapy (Age 4+), Psychological Assessment (Age 6+). Dr. Lopeman offers in-person and telehealth sessions.
My mission is to empower and educate. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), I enjoy building relationships with clients and helping them achieve their goals. My style of counseling is focused on self-exploration and increasing an individual's level of understanding around their current life circumstances, as well as their behaviors and reactions to those circumstances. Through the development of a safe and nurturing relationship, together we can diminish self-destructive behaviors and patterns, strengthen relationships and build confidence.

I work with female identified adults ages 18+ who are experiencing a variety of issues such as relationship changes, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, body image, self-concept, adjustment, trauma and overwhelming emotions. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, SPMI (serious and persistent mental illness) and anger management.

Trained in DBT, I can assist clients with working on distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness skills.

Services provided at this location: Telehealth individual therapy to female identified clients 18+
